Ray Tweedy
Mr. Raymond Eldon Tweedy, of Oxford, AR, died
February 7, 2009 in Salem, AR, he was 77. Raymond worked in construction as
a building contractor and a cabinet maker; he was a veteran of the Navy and
served in Korea. Raymond was a Past Commander of the VFW in San Benito, TX,
president of the Home Builders Association in Omaha, NE and a member of the
American Legion.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest
and Lola Tague Tweedy; a son, Stuart Tweedy; brother Joy Tweedy and a sister
Lois Gressto.
He is survived by his wife Susan (Reis) Tweedy of the
home; a son, Raymond "Mike" Tweedy of Lochbuie, CO; a daughter, Sandra Kay
Tweedy of Omaha, NE; a sister Betty Schipper of Glendale, AZ; brothers,
Ernie Tweedy of Oxford, AR, Richard Tweedy of Crofton, NE, Norman Tweedy of
Belleview, NE ad Alan Tweedy of Blair, NE. He is also survived by eight
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will host a celebration of Ray’s life at a
later date.
