Steve A. Rose
Steve A Rose, age 60 of Cherokee Village,
Arkansas, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in
Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Steve was the Manager of Cherokee Village Water Works, holding both water
and wastewater licenses, he also served as the Chief City Plumbing Inspector
for Cherokee Village and was the Constable for District 2, Sharp County.
Steve received the Arkansas Rural Water Operator on the year award in
2003 and served as a board member of the Arkansas Rural Water Association;
he was a member of the North Central District of the Arkansas Waterworks and
Water Environment Association, American Water Works Association, Arkansas
Dept. of Environmental Equality, Cherokee Village Business Association,
Cherokee Village Street Committee, Arkansas Constables Association, Sharp
County Jaycees, Highland Elks. He coordinated the CVBA fireworks
display for 19 years and also served on the Cherokee Village Fire
Department prior to 1974.
Steve was born December 6, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Argene
“Gene” Rose and Roberta West Rose.
He is survived by his wife Brenda “McComas” Rose of the home; son, Steven
Rose of Ash Flat, AR; mother, Roberta Rose of Ash Flat, AR; brothers, Tom
Rose & Judy of Highland, AR, Ernie Rose & Doris of Hardy, AR; sisters, Terri
Franke & Jim of Thayer, MO, Christine Jackson & Hayden of Saddle, AR, Marilyn Rose of Highland,
AR and Grace Richeson of Ash Flat, AR. He
is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in Heath Oak Hill Chapel with
Bro. Steve Summers and Bro. Henry Parker officiating. Interment will follow
in Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
