Valerie Van Cleave
Valerie Van Cleave, age 90, ,
died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Eaglecrest Nursing & Rehab in Ash Flat. Valerie was a loving wife and mother. She was the daughter of the late Charles Bryant and the
late Cleoria (Childress) Bryant.
Valerie is survived by her Daughters, Myra and Louis
Preston of Cherokee Village. Dee and Sal Salvador of Lake Charles, LA
and Leta McNair of Phenix City, AL; Sons, Reggie and Rose Van Cleave of
Ontario, CA and Mark and Kristin Van Cleave of Galesburg, MI; Sister,
Jimmie and Bill Peters of Sulphur, LA; Nineteen grandchildren, Twenty Three
great-grandchildren, Seven great-great grandchildren and her Loving Eaglecrest family.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Chesley Van Cleave,
Son Charles Van Cleave, Sisters Hazel Childress, Nina, Omega Dixon and
Frances West, Brothers, Cecil, Rodolph, Charles (Buddy) and Johnny Bryant and one Granddaughter Tiffany Van Cleave.
The
family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday, at Johnson
Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. A Graveside service will be held
2:30PM in Highland Cemetery with Bro. Lamar Huffman Officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Houston, Bruce
Houston, Jeremy Bond, James Rivers, Vic Salvador and Jeff Presley.
