Sharlette Hollaway
Sharlette Faye Hall Hollaway, 60,
passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, with her family by her side in
Highland, AR.
She was born January 9,
1951 at the Old Hill Place just outside of Hardy to William Loran Autry Hall
and Laura Anna Schales.
At her request, a funeral will not be held. A memorial service is planned
by her children, details to be announced later.
Sharlette spent summers at her grandparents’ home in Sharp County. She
graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1969. She returned to Sharp
County with her husband and children in the mid-seventies. Her interests
included her faith, her family, gardening, cooking, and reading. She devoted
much of her time and energy to family members and the churches that marked
her faith journey, First Assembly of God and St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
She is survived
by her husband of forty years, Carl Dennis Hollaway; her daughters and their
spouses, Brandi and Paul Allen of Batesville and Taryn and Kieran Kendrick
of Highland; her grandchildren, Logan Ellis Hollaway Powell, Piper Hayes
Hollaway Kendrick, Dennis Rhys Allen, and Dylan Nathaniel Hall Allen; her
sister, Carol Hall Wiles of Rogers; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
There will be a memorial service
held 10:00am, Saturday June 25th at Liberty Hill Church.
The family
extends the deepest appreciation to the staff and volunteers of Legacy
Hospice of North Arkansas and Twin Lakes Ostomy Support of Mountain Home.
